Mulayo Serakoana is a Limpopo-based craft practitioner and contemporary artist working under the brand SereMhani Creations. Her work focuses on beaded art and handmade home décor, blending traditional craft knowledge with contemporary design.

Inspired by culture, heritage, and lived experiences, Serakoana creates pieces that explore themes of identity and tradition. Each artwork is carefully handcrafted, with pieces typically taking 2–5 days to complete.

Her creative practice is rooted in a desire to preserve and reinterpret cultural expression, while also developing new artistic forms through beadwork. For Serakoana, being an artist represents freedom of expression and a lifelong calling.

Through the Made in Limpopo programme, she aims to expand collaboration with other artists, gain visibility, and grow her creative business while sharing Limpopo’s rich cultural identity through craft.
